Bramble Energy has secured government funding from the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) as part of the Automotive Transformation Fund - a program supporting large-scale industrialization to build electrified supply chains in the UK. The Scale-up Readiness Validation, SuRV, competition will aid Bramble Energy’s printed circuit board fuel cell (PCBFC) pilot-scale production line, aiming to scale-up and support the growth of manufacturing and expansion of businesses in the UK automotive supply chain.

Tom Mason, Bramble Energy CEO said, “Our technology presents the best case for hydrogen fuel cell technology within the sector. Our simplified and lower cost approach means a viable net zero transport solution which can be scaled quickly.”

Different to any other fuel cell manufacturer, Bramble Energy’s PCBFC has a series of advantages, including a simpler design, lower cost materials and a manufacturing process which leverages the existing PCB supply chain to scale-up fuel cell production.

SuRV was launched after insight showed there is often a need to validate products or processes to de-risk the making of key decisions for much greater investment.
