Hynion Sverige refuels a new H2 truck at station in Gothenburg, Sweden

Hynion participates in testing and demonstration of new engine technology by providing refueling of H2 at the company's H2 station in Gothenburg. It is the Canadian company Westport Fuel Systems that is showing off its new engine technology to stakeholders in Sweden, in a truck from a leading vehicle manufacturer.

The vehicle that is now being refueled and shown to stakeholders is a demo truck where the engine is powered by H2. The company has developed a technology called H2HPDITM which means "H2 High Pressure Direct Injection."

"Westport has developed a climate-smart technology to use the efficient diesel cycle engine but instead with environmentally friendly gas fuel, in this case H2. We are the market leader in terms of power, torque, efficiency and, not least, total cost. We now show trucks with our technology to stakeholders, and then it has to be refueled, and we appreciate that Hynion can assist us and supply H2," said Anders Johansson, Vice President Heavy Duty OEM Westport Fuel systems.

Hynion's H2 filling station in Gothenburg was certified and could be opened for public refueling in December 2022, after refurbishment and modernization. "We are happy to be able to offer H2 and assistance for Westport's demonstrations, and hope that this is the start of a great future both for Westport and for Hynion," said Slavica Djuric, CEO of Hynion Sverige AB.
