HydrogenPro delivers electrolyzer for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ Takasago Hydrogen Park

This summer HydrogenPro completed its delivery of a 5.5-MW electrolyzer to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ (MHI) Takasago Hydrogen Park, the pioneering validation center for H2 technology.

The Japanese market holds great potential for the production and utilization of green H2. CEO of HydrogenPro, Jarle Dragvik said, “this is the world’s first center for validation of H2-related technologies, from production to power generation. We are proud to have delivered our unique technology to our important partner MHI, proving that we are yet again at the forefront of the H2 industrial evolution.”

HydrogenPro entered the agreement with MHI in 2022 to deliver the electrolyzer, engineering services and project management. The electrolyzer started producing H2 in August and was built at HydrogenPro’s new production line in China. MHI aims to develop and improve their H2 gas turbine product reliability through the verification of H2 co-firing and 100% H2 firing at Takasago Hydrogen Park.
