Hexagon Purus to deliver H2 fuel storage systems to Solaris

Hexagon Purus has received purchase orders for the delivery of H2 fuel storage systems to Solaris, a European bus manufacturer, worth approximately €6.4 MM. The purchase orders can be viewed in conjunction with the previously announced long-term supply agreement with Solaris in November 2021. Hexagon Purus’ H2 fuel storage systems will be used to support Solaris’ roll-out of H2 fuel-cell electric buses in Europe following recent public tender win in Bologna, Italy.

Since 2021, Hexagon Purus has delivered H2 fuel storage systems for close to 200 Solaris H2 fuel cell electric buses.

“Solaris is a leading player in driving the zero-emission transition in European public transportation. We have a long-standing relationship with them and applaud their success in securing new contracts for H2 fuel cell electric buses in Europe,” said Michael Kleschinski, Executive Vice President of Hexagon Purus. “We are committed to helping them decarbonize the European public transport sector.”
