The Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC) and H2Global Stiftung (H2Global) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to initiate the cooperation in the area of clean H₂. H₂ and its derivatives play a key role in the energy transition. After the Revision of JOGMEC Act in 2022, JOGMEC has been working to promote the production and use of H₂ through various channels including information sharing and financial support.

H2Global was established in 2021 to accelerate the emergence of markets for clean H₂ and other low-emissions technologies globally through market-based instruments. Due to its high adaptability to diverse policy priorities, H2Global is working with countries globally.

The MoU between JOGMEC and H2Global marks the beginning of a close cooperation, focusing on key topics such as regulation, technology and supply chains. Through this new partnership, JOGMEC and H2Global aim to contribute to the emergence of a clean H₂ society.
