Snam opens market test for H₂ and CCS demand in Italy

The Italian gas TSO Snam launched a market test to measure H₂ and carbon capture and storage (CCS) demand in Italy.

According to the latest version of the National plan for Environment and Climate, Italy is targeting for renewable H₂ to make up at least 42% of the total industrial H₂ consumption by 2030.

The questionnaires are anonymous and non-legally binding. They close on the 5 April and results will be shared between the second and third quarter of 2024.
