LONGi Hydrogen, a wholly owned subsidiary of LONGi Green Energy Technology Co Ltd, and ACWA Power join hands on the first phase of a 3,000 tpy green H2 project in Uzbekistan, and it is expected to reduce carbon emissions up to 136,000 tpy.
The first phase, a 3,000-t green ammonia pilot project, has achieved cooperation between ACWA Power and LONGi Hydrogen. LONGi Hydrogen will supply the alkaline electrolyzer stacks as well as full BoPs for this project. Once the second phase is complete, 2.4 GW of wind energy will power the production of 500,000 tpy of green ammonia. When completed in full, this will be ACWA Power’s second utility-scale green H2 project after the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Zhou Wei, General Director of Manufacture and Overseas Sales, LONGi Hydrogen said, “This is the first project in Central Asia for LONGi Hydrogen which remarks a significant milestone for global development. We are thrilled to receive recognition from the global partners for our technologies and capabilities. LONGi Hydrogen is dedicated to providing safe and reliable products to accompany our customers for global project development. Leveraging on our innovative products and experienced team, we will continue to drive down the levelized cost of H2 and make green H2 an affordable energy in the near future.”
Marco Arcelli, ACWA Power CEO said, “This project marks a significant milestone in Uzbekistan’s energy history, representing the first phase of our collaboration. We are proud to be working with our partners to deliver the green H2 project, which will make a deep impact on the country’s ambitious energy transition plans. Looking ahead, we are committed to progressing further in the near future to achieve even greater milestones.”
