Grøn Brint initiates final commissioning tests, producing its first H2 molecules

Grøn Brint started their hot commissioning program, adding power and producing the first H2 molecules from its Hjørring plant. This marks a key milestone in the company's journey toward the production of green H2 for their customer, biogas company GrønGas.

"We are on the brink of a new era in green energy," said Jens Berge, CEO of Norwegian Hydrogen, one of two 50/50 joint venture owners in Danish Grøn Brint. “The other owner is their local partner Mr. Jens Peter Lunden and his company JPLL HOLDING A/S.”

“The commissioning of our electrolyzers is not just a technical milestone; it's another bold and important step towards realizing our vision of a sustainable, decarbonized future. In partnership with Jens Peter Lunden and our customer, we're setting new standards for clean energy production,” said Jens Berge, CEO Norwegian Hydrogen and Chairman at Grøn Brint.

Moving closer to full production, the collaboration with GrønGas will be instrumental in demonstrating the practical applications and benefits of green H2 in combination with biogenic CO2. The end product will be sold as liquid eMethane to the German market.
