Norwegian Hydrogen signs contract with Cyan Energy

Norwegian Hydrogen has signed a contract with Cyan Energy for the supply of green H2 to Cyan Energy's newly developed H2-based charging stations. Hellesylt Hydrogen Hub, opening production of green H2 this summer as one of the first green H2 plants in Norway, utilizes renewable energy sources to produce green H2. The H2 supplied to Cyan Energy will be used to power their innovative charging stations, which offer efficient and rapid charging solutions for electric vehicles, including heavy-duty trucks.

“We are excited and very happy that Cyan Energy chose to go with us for the provision of green H2. Collaborating with other frontrunners in the energy transition is important to us, and we are proud to support Cyan Energy's vision of a cleaner, greener future for transportation in our region and beyond,” said Jens Berge, CEO of Norwegian Hydrogen.

Cyan Energy's H2-based charging stations represent an innovative leap forward in the advancement of zero-emission transport infrastructure. By utilizing locally produced green H2 from Norwegian Hydrogen, these stations will not only provide reliable and rapid charging but also contribute to reducing the carbon footprint fromroad transport.

“This partnership is a testament to the progress we can achieve through collaboration and innovation. Norwegian Hydrogen's commitment to the energy transition aligns perfectly with our goals, and together, we make it possible to achieve a more sustainable future,” said Bjørn Bjerke, CEO of Cyan Energy.

Hellesylt H2 Hub will begin supplying H2 to Cyan Energy's station at Hareid, with plans to expand distribution as additional stations are developed across Norway and internationally.

“This is a good illustration of how we address the full breadth of the H2 market, with contracted deliveries to the maritime sector, industry, and technology applications, in addition to Vireon's H2 refueling stations for heavy-duty road transport,” said Simen Skaare Eriksen, CCO of Norwegian Hydrogen.
