The Railway Reform Authority (RRA) informs that the procedure for acquiring 12 H₂ fuel cell-based electric trains, funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), was automatically canceled in the public procurement system, SEAP, as no offers were submitted.

The RRA canceled the previous bidding procedure on November 7th 2023, due to non-compliance of the sole offer submitted by the Alstom-Linde Gaz consortium. The total value of the project is 868,917,205.97 lei, including VAT.

In this context, RRA will initiate a new market consultation, following which it will determine its future strategy for the acquisition of the 12 H₂ fuel cell-based electric trains.
