SK E&S unveils liquefied H2 plant, paving the way for Korea's H2 era

SK E&S has completed construction on the world's largest liquefied H2 plant in Incheon, capable of producing up to 30,000 tpy of eco-friendly energy. This capacity can fuel approximately 5,000 H2-powered buses for a year, addressing past shortages experienced due to production facility malfunctions.

CEO Choo Hyeong-wook views the plant as a catalyst for Korea's H2 era, aiming to transform the energy industry. SK Group's commitment to carbon neutrality by 2050 drives efforts to build a H2 ecosystem, including plans for 40 nationwide H2 charging stations. These stations, fueled by the Incheon plant, aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through H2-powered public transportation.
