Hyfluence to supply H2 refueling infrastructure to Lewis County Transit

Hyfluence Systems Corp., a leading designer and manufacturer of systems and equipment for the refueling of H2 vehicles, has been awarded the supply of H2 refueling infrastructure to Lewis County Transit, in support of their initial deployment of H2 buses in Lewis County, Washington, U.S.

Hyfluence will deliver a FleetPilot self-contained H2 fueling station for the filling of H2 commercial vehicles. The Hyfluence equipment will encompass compression, storage and dispensing based on Hyfluence’s new high-reliability, fault-tolerant system architecture while also meeting the newly released SAE J2601-5 TIR fueling protocol.

These H2 infrastructure solutions will be deployed in partnership with Chart Industries and their subsidiary Howden, who will supply key compression components alongside the Hyfluence systems.

“Our FleetPilot line is specifically designed for growing fleet deployments where mobile refuelers are unable to comply with the new SAE J2601-5 standard for safe high-speed fueling,” said Angela Das, CTO of Hyfluence. “We are excited about partnering with Lewis County Transit as they lead the way in clean H2-powered transit.”

Joe Clark, Executive Director of Transit Services for Lewis County commented, “In selecting Hyfluence as one of our H2 implementor partners, it was clear from the start that their capability, flexibility, and reliability were integral in our decision to select them for our team. Their vast industry experience and product knowledge guided us through this incredibly challenging selection process. We look forward to Hyfluence being a part of our project team for many years to come.”

The Hyfluence equipment will be produced at Hyfluence’s Vancouver, Canada manufacturing facility and deployed to Lewis County Transit in early 2025.
