BORSIG ZM and HH2E announce a long-term cooperation agreement to promote green hydrogen

The cooperation agreement between BZM and HH2E provides for close collaboration in the field of green hydrogen production and utilization. The parties have agreed to continue the discussions already underway regarding HH2E's requirements for integrally geared turbo compressors and reciprocating compressors in the coming years and to support each other in the formal enquiry from HH2E and the preparation of the resulting offer from BORSIG ZM.

The first collaborative project will take place in Lubmin/Germany, where BZM will oversee the design and subsequent delivery of two compressor units. These compressors are slated to compress green hydrogen generated by a 200 MW electrolysis plant, with the delivery of the machinery anticipated in 2025.

The agreement was signed at the BORSIG headquarters in Berlin, with Dr Ina Hahndorf, co-founder of HH2E, and Karsten Kinzig, Head of Purchasing at HH2E, representing their company. Representing BORSIG were Martin Homann, Sales Manager at BORSIG ZM, Andi Ziermann, Managing Director of BORSIG ZM, and Jürgen Stegger, Managing Director of BORSIG.

A Vital Contribution to the Energy Transition. Dr Ina Hahndorf, co-founder of HH2E, is optimistic about the potential of this collaboration: "This project marks the beginning of a fruitful partnership between HH2E and BORSIG. Together, we are poised to make a significant contribution to the energy transition in Germany."

Martin Homann, Head of Sales at BORSIG ZM, commented: "The combination of BORSIG's experience and innovative strength with HH2E's dynamism and expertise will enable us to successfully implement pioneering projects in the field of green hydrogen."

This cooperation will see BORSIG ZM and HH2E join forces to promote the production and use of green hydrogen in Germany, thereby making a significant contribution to CO2 reduction and sustainable energy supply.
