Hystar AS has signed an agreement with Finnish mostly state-owned energy company Fortum to supply a 0.75 MW electrolyzer for Fortum’s H₂ pilot plant in Källa, Loviisa, Finland.

Fortum’s H₂ pilot plant, located east of Helsinki, is set to be commissioned in late 2025. H₂ will be produced by electrolysis, by using electricity to split water into H₂ and oxygen. A filling station will be built in connection with the plant for the delivery of H₂ to industrial customers. Hystar will supply a 0.75 MW containerized PEM electrolyzer system.
