bp to launch up to 10 low-carbon H2 projects this decade

bp plans to build five to ten low-carbon H2 projects this decade to create clean fuels and cut greenhouse gas emissions. The green H2, made via electrolysis with renewable energy, will be used for sustainable aviation fuel and to decarbonize bp's refining processes.

The company has approved a H2 project at its Castellon refinery in Spain and is moving forward with a second project at its Lingen refinery in Germany, with initial projects set to start in Europe.
