HydePoint, a leader in offshore H₂ production technology, has entered into a strategic partnership with Norwegian Hydrogen, a key producer and distributor of green H₂. The collaboration aims to accelerate the development of mid-size 10 MW–40 MW dockside and near-shore green H₂ projects, focusing on scaling H₂ production within a 2-yr–3-yr timeframe while laying the foundation for large-scale, offshore wind-integrated H₂ ventures in the next phase.

The partnership will leverage HydePoint’s innovative technology for H₂ production in maritime environments alongside Norwegian Hydrogen’s expertise in developing and operating H₂ infrastructure. Initially, the focus will be on near-shore projects, combining both companies’ capabilities to deliver mid-size green H₂ solutions that can help industries transition to zero-emissions energy.

Long-term vision: large-scale offshore H₂ and wind integration. Beyond these near-term projects, both companies are committed to a longer-term strategy of developing large-scale offshore H₂ production, particularly in combination with offshore wind farms. This collaboration reflects both companies’ shared ambition to lead the green transition by integrating H₂ into the renewable energy landscape and creating sustainable energy ecosystems at sea.
