Andhra Pradesh grants $327-MM green ammonia projects for Amaravati

The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved engineering projects worth ~$327 MM to advance the development of Amaravati and promote sustainable growth in the region. Key initiatives include the establishment of a green ammonia manufacturing facility by AM Green Ammonia in Kakinada, and a 119-MW wind and 130-MW solar hybrid facility by clean renewable Energy Hybrid Three Way in the Nandyal and Kadapa districts.

Tata Power Renewable Energy's 400-MW solar energy plant was also approved, expected to generate 1,380 jobs and attract $240 MM in investments. Additionally, Reliance Industries received approval for 500 compressed biogas plants across multiple districts, promising a $7.8-B investment and 2.5 lakh new jobs. These projects, supported by international institutions like the World Bank and HUDCO, signify a major step towards a greener and more sustainable Andhra Pradesh.
