Exolum now has the first of two publicly accessible mobile H2 refueling stations for fuel cell vehicles in service. These H2 stations, based on the technology of the Aragonese company CALVERA Hydrogen, are designed to adapt to the needs of customers, providing H2 at pressures of 350 bar and 700 bar, and they come in container format for easy transport. This initiative falls under the company’s H2ROAD business line which aims to offer ad hoc H2 logistics solutions throughout the entire value chain.
The service, already in use, makes this H2 station available to customers at any location they require in complete safety. These containerized units mean customers can access H2 refueling solutions wherever needed, as they are designed so they can be easily and quickly moved from one location to another.
To ensure the quality and safety of the H2 supplied, Exolum implements online analysis and measurement systems at custody transfer points. This ensures the H2 meets the required quality standards.
Exolum is not only responsible for H2 transport, but also offers storage solutions and management of the entire supply infrastructure. The company is also responsible for the qualification and training of the personnel responsible for operating the H2 stations.
Exolum seeks to further develop the H2 economy with this project and demonstrate that H2 is a real and current solution to decarbonization of both the goods and public transport sectors. It has obtained a grant under the “Sustainable and Digital Transport Support Program” led by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.
