Element 1 (e1NA) has announced a major milestone with a guaranteed 5-yr, multi-unit purchase order for its L18-PSA methanol-to-H2 generator. Valued at over $5.3 MM, this agreement strengthens e1NA’s role in advancing H2 technology and improving cost-effective supply solutions. The first units are set for delivery later this year.
As part of the deal, e1NA has granted exclusive distribution rights for the L18-PSA within the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the UK to its North American partner. This strategic collaboration aims to drive down the cost of compressed H2 while enhancing supply security—two critical barriers to widespread H2 adoption.
The L18-PSA generator, a derivative of e1NA’s standard L18 H2 generator, is designed to work alongside third-party pressure-swing absorption (PSA) units for high-purity H2 production. These units will be manufactured at e1NA’s Bend, Oregon facility, leveraging the company’s patented methanol-to-H2 technology to provide an efficient and transportable solution.
“This order is further validation of our unique product offerings,” said Dave Edlund, CEO of Element 1 Corp. “The number one hurdle to widespread adoption of H2 is cost, and the number two hurdle is security of supply. Our patented technology solves both challenges simultaneously, often with payback time measured in months, accelerating the pace of adoption of fuel cells and H2 combustion engines.”
