Hyundai Motor has introduced a new, enhanced version of its Universe hydrogen-electric fuel cell bus, offering a remarkable driving range of 960 km per charge. The upgraded model features an integrated dual motor and transmission system for smoother performance, delivering up to 350 kW of power and 1800 Nm of torque. Its fuel cell system generates 180 kW, supported by a 48.2 kWh lithium-ion battery.

Safety enhancements include a high-voltage battery fire delay system and automatic hydrogen supply shut-off in collisions. Hyundai also revealed an upgraded 2026 Universe internal combustion engine model with luxury trim and premium features to boost market competitiveness.
