Sinopec to support ACWA Power’s largest green H2 and ammonia project

China’s Sinopec has signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power to provide engineering services for what will be the world’s largest integrated green H2 and ammonia project in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.

Once operational in 2030, the facility will produce 400,000 metric tons of green H2 and 2.8 million tons of green ammonia annually, powered by wind and solar energy. Sinopec Engineering Group, a subsidiary, will handle the front-end engineering design along with engineering, procurement, and construction responsibilities.
