Everfuel is now a certified renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO) producer, setting a new benchmark for sustainable energy in Denmark and across Europe. The certification is the gold standard for green H₂ under the EU’s RED II and RED III directives. It confirms that Everfuel’s H₂ production from HySynergy meets the strict environmental and traceability criteria required to contribute to the EU’s binding renewable energy targets. Some key properties associated with Everfuel’s RFNBO certification are:

• > 99% emissions reduction compared to fossil fuels
• Certified under ISCC, ensuring full compliance with EU sustainability and GHG reduction criteria
• Strategic alignment with Fit-for-55, RePowerEU, and the H₂ Backbone initiative
• New market access in Denmark, Germany, and Northern Europe for certified H₂ supply
• Enabling RFNBO production combined with opportunity to engage in the power balancing market.

The certification process, completed through ISCC, reflects Everfuel’s commitment to pioneer the green H₂ industry. Further, it strengthens Everfuel’s position as a frontrunner in the European H₂ transition, especially as Germany and other EU countries ramp up RFNBO obligations in transport and industry from 2026 onward.
