The Gulf Energy Information Excellence Awards has announced its 2026 finalists, recognizing companies, technologies and projects advancing the global energy industry. Following a two-stage independent judging process, finalists were selected across more than 40 categories spanning upstream, midstream and downstream operations.
For H2Tech readers, several categories highlight innovations in CCS/CCUS, carbon removal, digital transformation, hydrogen and natural gas infrastructure.
Among the Best Innovation in Pipeline Engineering – Midstream finalists are:
The Best Pipeline Integrity Technology category recognizes technologies designed to improve pipeline inspection, monitoring and asset reliability. Finalists include:
Digital innovation also featured prominently among this year's finalists. The Best Digital Transformation – Midstream category includes:
Additional midstream finalists include technologies focused on maintenance, health and safety, hydrogen and major infrastructure projects.
In Best Advancement in Maintenance Technology – Midstream, finalists include solutions from Flyability, Cenit Transporte y Logística de Hidrocarburos, OCP Ecuador and Aspen Technology (Emerson), Reliance Industries Limited and ADNOC Gas.
The Best Health, Safety or Environmental Contribution – Midstream category recognizes innovations from ADNOC Gas, Saudi Aramco and Promigas SA ESP aimed at improving worker safety, emissions reduction and natural gas operations.
Among the Energy Project of the Year – Midstream finalists are projects from Ebara Elliott Energy, SLB, ADNOC Gas and CENIT Transporte y Logística de Hidrocarburos S.A.S., recognizing major investments in gas storage, compressor testing, facility upgrades and pipeline infrastructure.
Hydrogen also remains a growing focus for the industry. Finalists for Hydrogen Project of the Year include Aramco Americas' CHAMP (Clean Hydrogen and Accelerated Mineralization Program), Graforce's Methane Plasmalysis technology and Reliance Industries Limited's Smart Advanced Process Control for PSA Productivity Enhancement.
Winners will be announced during the Gulf Energy Information Excellence Awards Gala on Oct. 15, 2026.
